In July 2011, I will be pedaling my recycled bike from Portland, ME, USA, to Codroy Valley, Newfoundland, Canada. Along the way, I will be offering three different workshops focusing on the cycles of one-planet living and two-wheeled motion. The goals of this project are:
1. To inspire people to explore the wonder and wisdom of the natural world using the power of pedals and the strength of imagination.
2. To Empower people to ride bikes by providing the skills necessary to confidently and safely use their bicycles for transportation, fitness, and fun.
3. To share the joy of cycling with new friends. The workshops are open to people of all ages and cycling abilities. Depending on the workshop, you can learn a variety of skills from how to convert that old department store bike into a touring machine, to the five essential S’s of a shoreline sit spot.
If you are interested, please visit the Keep The Cycle Going blog. This project is wholly dependant on the power of social communication. Please forward this to all of your friends, folks you think might be interested, and post it to facebook, twitter, and other forms of social media and communication.
Thank you and take care,
Chael MacArthur

I’m just wondering, why is the Codroy Valley your final destination?
it’s a cool but seemingly unlikely spot.
